K-12

A simple one.

Print or trace the block diagram onto foundation paper. Cut out the center square and number as follows.

Foundation piece using your favorite method. Trim seam allowances to ¼" exactly.

Out of your main fabric, cut two squares 3 ½"x3 ½". Cut each square in half diagonally.

Attach triangles to edges of center square. Attach them in opposite pairs using a ¼" seam allowance.

Press and trim your block to exactly 5".
Ta da!

I messed up on the side triangles and mixed them up. I may or may not fix this. The more blocks I make, the more I'm letting go of the need for perfection.
